Open Salad Tuesdays

August 27th, 2008

In August we started something new at Station C: Open Salad. Every Tuesday we each bring one or two ingredients. At 12:30 we gather in the kitchen area and lay it all out, creating a most fantastic and always unpredictable salad bar. Then it’s time to eat and talk and just be together. The best things always happen over good food.

Come join us — even if you’re not a member. And if you happen to be here when we’re eating don’t be shy. There’s always more than enough for everyone — a concrete example of synergy. (Sorry if that word made you a bit sick, we won’t use it again. Promise.)

The idea for Open Salad came to us by way of our friends at Toronto’s Centre for Social Innovation. According to Mark Surman it’s a derivative work. Such are things open.
